Custom Living Room Remodel | Floor-to-Ceiling Feature Wall & Staircase Paneling

This dramatic living room transformation completely reimagined the home's main gathering space by turning an outdated TV niche into a seamless, custom architectural feature. Originally, the television was recessed into a small cove that limited both the size of the TV and the overall design of the room. We framed in the entire alcove, creating a clean, flat wall that allowed for a much larger television while giving the space a custom-built appearance.

To make the feature wall truly stand out, we installed floor-to-ceiling picture frame molding that extends all the way to the soaring two-story ceiling. Finished in a bold blue paint, the custom millwork transforms what was once a plain wall into a striking focal point full of depth, elegance, and architectural character.

The staircase received a matching upgrade with custom picture frame molding installed along the stair walls, tying the entire space together and creating a cohesive flow from the living room to the second floor. The coordinated millwork adds a timeless, high-end look that complements the home's open-concept layout.

The finished result is a sophisticated living space that feels larger, brighter, and intentionally designed. By eliminating the outdated TV cove and incorporating custom trim details throughout, we created a luxury focal point that adds both beauty and functionality while significantly increasing the home's visual appeal.
