Elevated Laundry Room & Powder Bath with Custom Finishes in Mckinney, TX

This project transformed two highly used spaces into beautifully designed, functional rooms with personality and polish. In the laundry room, we installed lower shiplap painted in “Rumors” by Behr—a rich wine red that adds warmth and depth—then paired it with a unique camel-toned, alligator-inspired paint technique on the upper walls for a subtle yet striking textural effect. A custom countertop was added for folding and organization, along with decorative shelving styled to bring charm and function together seamlessly.

In the adjoining powder bath, we fully painted the space—including the ceiling—for a complete, immersive feel. French picture molding was installed around the room with wallpaper inset within each panel, creating a layered and elegant design moment. A starburst-style pendant light adds a soft glow, while black-painted doors ground the space with contrast and sophistication. The result is a cohesive blend of utility and high design across both rooms, turning everyday spaces into standout features of the home.
